If you are an Oregonian looking for help paying your mortgage you need to listen to THIS NEWS STORY which ran on OPB news this morning.  The state currently has $220 million that they are going to give to deserving applicants who meet certain criteria.  The lottery is supposed to take place this Friday so it would be wise to act fast.
